Microsilica supplier to the concrete industry
For concrete with demanding strength and durability requirements
Grey microsilica is used in concrete and mortar to achieve a denser structure and improved mechanical properties. Its exceptionally fine particles help reduce water penetration and enhance concrete strength and durability. An excellent choice for projects where the technical performance of concrete is a key priority.
Undensified · Bulk density: 500 kg/m³ · SiO₂ content: min. 92%
For architectural concrete where appearance and performance matter
Silica White is a white microsilica designed for projects where the visual appearance of concrete plays a central role. Its light colour makes it particularly relevant for white and light-coloured concrete, offering the benefits of microsilica with less impact on colour than grey silica. Well suited to prestigious architectural projects, including façades, balconies and exposed concrete elements, where aesthetics, strength and durability go hand in hand. Trial mixes should be used to establish the final colour and finish.
Undensified · Bulk density: min. 700 kg/m³ · SiO₂ content: min. 94%
Improved workability with less water
Spolostan G7 is a superplasticizing admixture for concrete and mortar. It improves flow and allows the water content to be reduced without compromising workability.
A lower water-to-cement ratio can contribute to higher strength and denser concrete. Spolostan G7 therefore helps optimise mix design to meet both placement requirements and the desired properties of the finished concrete.
Sodium polynaphthalenesulfonate
Available in 1,000 kg and 500 kg bags, or 25 kg paper bags.
Microsilica, also known as silica fume, is a fine powder that significantly modifies the mechanical properties of concrete. By replacing 15% of the cement with microsilica, the concrete’s tightness is highly improved. This substitution increases the compressive strength by 20% and reduces absorption capacity to a third of its original value.
Microsilica is a byproduct of the manufacture of silicon and ferro-silica from quartz, limestone, and iron. The dust emitted from electric furnaces is collected using electrostatic filters. It consists of very fine spherical particles, each with a maximum size of less than 1 μm, and a high percentage of amorphous SiO2 (82% – 96%). Microsilica has a specific surface area between 15 and 30 m²/g and a relative density of 2200 kg/m³
Microsilica, or silica fume, is widely used in concrete to enhance its properties. Here’s how it is utilized:
Spolostan G7 is a high-performance chemical admixture used in the construction industry, particularly in concrete production. This advanced additive is designed to enhance the properties of concrete, making it more durable, workable, and resistant to various environmental factors.
High-Performance Concrete (HPC): Ideal for projects requiring superior strength and durability, such as bridges, high-rise buildings, and industrial floors.
Ready-Mix Concrete: Enhances the quality and performance of ready-mix concrete, ensuring consistency and reliability for various construction needs.
Precast Concrete: Improves the characteristics of precast elements, making them more resistant to environmental conditions and easier to handle during installation.
Infrastructure Projects: Widely used in large-scale infrastructure projects like highways, tunnels, and dams, where high durability and longevity are critical.
Cost-Effective: By reducing the need for water and increasing the strength and durability of concrete, Spolostan G7 can lead to significant cost savings in both materials and long-term maintenance.
Environmentally Friendly: The improved efficiency and performance of concrete mixes reduce waste and resource consumption, making Spolostan G7 a sustainable choice for modern construction practices.
Versatile: Suitable for a wide range of concrete applications, from residential to industrial and infrastructural projects.
